Job Outlook for CFP Professionals

The CFP certification continues to gain ground as a standard in the financial services industry for not only those already in the financial services business, but career changers as well. Within the past week, the U.S. Department of Labor and Statistics updated their Occupational Outlook Handbook noting an extremely positive job outlook for Financial Planners.

Highlights of the updated report include the following:

  • Projected increase of 32% growth in the role over the next 10 years
  • Median annual wage of $64,750
  • Top 10% of professionals earning more than $166,400
  • Industry certifications, such as the CFP®, will continue playing a key role
