CFP Board Announces November Exam Results

The CFP Board has announced the results for the November 2024 CFP® Certification Exam, held during the testing window of November 6-13. A total of 3,755 candidates participated, with 6% opting for remote testing. This marks the second-largest group to ever take the CFP® Certification Exam in November. The pass rate for this exam was 62%.

In 2024, a record-breaking 10,437 candidates sat for the CFP® exam, setting a new annual high for exam participation.

“Growing interest in CFP® certification highlights its importance as the benchmark for financial planning,” said CFP Board CEO Kevin R. Keller, CAE. “This milestone underscores the increasing demand for competent and ethical financial advice. We commend the dedication of all candidates who took the exam and look forward to welcoming these future CFP® professionals to our community.”

Insights from a post-exam survey revealed that 38% of candidates pursued CFP® certification to showcase their expertise in their roles, while 34% aimed to distinguish themselves as fiduciaries. Additionally, 33% reported receiving financial support from their employers during the certification process.
