Value of CFP® Certification to Female Advisors

CFP® Board Updates

A recent independent study from AITE group revealed the strengths and unique characteristics female CFP® Professionals bring to wealth management practices and their clients.  And in line with the CFP Board’s view, the study also concluded an urgent need for more female CFP® Professionals – specifically client facing.

The study, titled “Building a Diverse Practice: The Value of CFP® Certification to Female Advisors,” detailed several key findings.

  • Female CFP® Professionals provide written and comprehensive plans to a higher percentage of clients than their male counterparts.
  • Female CFP® Professionals are more satisfied with their career than their male counterparts.
  • 64% of female CFP® Professionals recommend the certification to their colleagues, as opposed to only 52% for men.

This report underlines both the value of the certification to female advisors, as well as the need for the industry as a whole to continue to drive efforts to recruit more.
