The CFP Board has unveiled Accelerate & WIN, a powerful new initiative designed to fast-track the growth, leadership, and impact of women in the financial planning profession. Despite making up only 24% of CFP® professionals, women bring essential perspectives and strengths to a field that increasingly values diversity, flexibility, and meaningful client relationships. Accelerate & WIN builds on past efforts with a robust, multiyear strategy grounded in research, partnerships, and action. It aims to engage women at every stage — from high school and college to career changers — and to align the profession more closely with what many women seek in a career: purpose, growth, and balance.
Key elements of the program in 2025 include groundbreaking research, webinars focused on serving women clients and career journeys, and a virtual career studio designed specifically for women exploring financial planning as a new path. Notably, the invite-only Power Women Design Summit this May will bring together leaders, changemakers, and firms to develop bold strategies for attracting and retaining women in the profession. As CFP Board Chair Liz Miller puts it, “Women’s moment in financial planning isn’t coming — it’s now.” With a clear roadmap and leadership team in place, Accelerate & WIN is poised to help reshape the future of financial planning — one woman CFP® professional at a time.
