Here is your chance to add your client-facing, practical financial planning perspective to CFP Board’s governing body in 2022. The following excerpt was taken from the CFP BOARD REPORT published on May 20, 2021.
“CFP Board is now accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on CFP Board's Board of Directors (Board), the strategic governing body of the organization, beginning in January 2022.
This year, the Board’s Nominating Committee is seeking self-nominations of individuals with CFP® certification, or those with a deep professional understanding of the financial planning industry, to answer the call to serve the public through board representation.
To complement the skills and experience of existing board members, the Board’s Nominating Committee is seeking candidates with one or more of the following characteristics:
- A representative from a major national Registered Investment Adviser;
- A representative from a national direct retail financial services firm;
- A representative from a large wirehouse;
- A program director or faculty member from a CFP Board Registered Program.
