“Per Capita” Fee for CFP Board Exam Takers Begins January 1
CFP® Board Updates
Students of our CFP Certification Education Programs are aware, but this may serve as a reminder, the CFP Board will begin charging the $195 “Per Capita” fee on January 1, 2023.
What is the Per Capita Fee?
When a student completes this program, we report it to the CFP Board, and the student has then met the requirement of completing a CFP Board Approved education program.
The Per Capita Fee is a $195 fee the CFP Board will charge CFP Board educational programs for every student reported as having completed their program.
What does that mean for students?
If you complete a CFP Certification education program after December 31, 2022, the CFP Board will charge your school a $195 fee to report the completion.
To avoid this fee, students must FULLY complete their program and have it reported to the CFP Board by December 31st.
Will this program benefit from the new fees?
For our programs, we want to be clear that we will not benefit in any way from the new fee imposed by the CFP Board. We will charge our students the exact amount the CFP Board will charge us. We will NOT be charging a processing fee. Also, we will not require students to pay this fee unless they want their education reported to the CFP Board.
