The Financial Plan Development Course Now a Requirement of All CFP Educational Programs

Happy New Year! We hope you are off to a great start in 2012! As you may know, 2012 is a year of changes for CFP Educational Programs. This online financial planner program is no different. Over the recent months, the consortium of university partners working closely with the wealth management industry leader, Greene Consulting, has been diligently working to develop the Financial Plan Development course.

As of January 1, 2012 students enrolling in this online CFP program through the program partners (University of Georgia, North Carolina State University and University of Texas San Antonio) will be required to take this seventh course titled, “Developing the Financial Plan.”

Course Overview

Developing the Financial Plan is the capstone course in the CFP Certification Education Program Online. This course will teach students the steps in developing a financial plan, the elements necessary for ensuring the plan meets the needs and goals of the client, and will require the student to present a plan based on a given case study.

Successful completion of all seven courses in the CFP Certification Education Program Online meets the educational requirements for achieving CFP® designation.
